Tom Brown, Master Arts (M.A.)
Tom Brown is considered as one of Australia’s most experienced leaders in the domain of People and Culture. With global leadership experience across the Resource, Logistics, FMCG and Power sectors, he has worked for global icons such as Exxon Mobil, BHP and Rolls-Royce. His focus has been on both functional and organisational transformation, using technology as a key driver of value creation.
Over the last four years he has transitioned to the non executive arena, utilising 20 years experience with Boards in an executive capacity including Committee Chair roles and executive director roles on joint venture Boards. He is currently a non executive director of Slater and Gordon where he also serves as Chair of the Remuneration Committee and member of the Audit and Risk Committee. He also consults to CEOs both here and overseas on how to drive transformation in their functions and in their businesses.
Tom brings to Gooroo a deep knowledge of the People and Culture business and a vision for the future in which disruptive technology is a key driver of business value and high performance.
Greg Muller, MBA, BAppSc
Managing Director & Chief Executive Officer
Greg Muller is the CEO and founder of Gooroo and has over 20 years’ experience in building and leading technology, marketing and management consulting companies and startups. As the founder and CEO of Gooroo, Mr Muller has overseen the R&D phase of the company, together with its funding and partnership strategy, recently announcing a global alliance with Microsoft Corporation.
In 2000, Mr Muller founded his own technology and management consulting group, iFocus, growing it to become the largest independent digital agency in Australia.
In 2010, Mr Muller was engaged by the Board of Global Reviews, a leading digital marketing and customer experience analytics provider, to reposition the brand internationally, redefine the product set and drive accelerated growth. Mr Muller remains as a non-executive director and shareholder of Global Reviews.
Over the past 20 years Mr Muller has consulted to and advised many of the world's major finance, insurance, retail, telecommunications, education and energy companies, and government departments, in the area of digital strategy, marketing, customer experience and innovation.
During his career Mr Muller has been the recipient of numerous industry and business awards, most notably BRW Fast 100 (2004, 2005), Dun & Bradstreet Business Award Finalist (2004) and SmartCompany Top 50 (2007).
Mr Muller has completed a Master of Business Administration (MBA) and a Bachelor of Applied Science.
Emmanuel Foundas, BComm, ASIA
Emmanuel Foundas has over 25 years’ experience in investment banking with Salomon Smith Barney, Natwest Markets, Macquarie Bank, Dresdner Bank and Michell NBD in addition to his time at Mobil Oil Australia where he held the role of Assistant Treasurer.
He is currently Chief Representative, Oceania & SE Asia for Condusiv Technologies and the Finance and Technology Lead for the Australian Education City Consortium.
Mr Foundas has assisted and mentored a number of successful companies and was Chairman and CEO of CFT Holdings, which under his stewardship executed two co-operative joint ventures in China with State Owned Enterprises.
Mr Foundas holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from The University of Queensland and a Post Graduate Diploma from the Securities Institute of Australia.
Jason Tonelli, BA
Jason Tonelli is a digital media and technology specialist with more than 14 years’ experience in the field. He has gained a unique range of experience and skills, having worked across most facets of digital media from search to running a trading desk.
Mr Tonelli is currently the Chief Digital and Technology Officer for Publicis Media Australia and New Zealand, one of the world's leading communications agencies, where he focuses on driving leading technology solutions, innovation and digital strategic work across the Group. This includes overseeing expenditure of over $150m into the digital and technology space for his clients. Prior to this role, Mr Tonelli worked across the Starcom and Mediavest businesses as the digital and technology lead in Australia. Both of these roles have unlocked global client and technology connections throughout Europe, Asia and the US.
Prior to joining Starcom, Mr Tonelli has held such roles as General Manager of Aegis Media Pacific’s Trading Desk and Media Director at emitch Melbourne, leading a team of 10 across a number of clients including Nissan Australia, BMW, Tourism Victoria, Virgin Australia, QUIT Victoria and the Transport Accident Commission.
Mr Tonelli attended Monash University, where he majored in Psychology with a Minor in Marketing. He has found that these two disciplines have complemented his development into the advertising and media fields. Mr Tonelli also participates in many leading industry events both as a keynote speaker and a panellist as well as being an active member of the Industry Advisory Board for the School of Marketing and Advertising at RMIT University in Victoria.
Donald Stephens, BA (Acc), FCA
Donald Stephens is a Chartered Accountant and corporate advisor with over 25 years’ experience in the accounting, mining and services industries, including 14 years as a partner of HLB Mann Judd (SA), a firm of Chartered Accountants. He is a Chartered Accountant and corporate adviser specialising in small cap ASX listed entities.
Mr Stephens is a director of Mithril Resources Limited, Petratherm Limited and Lawson Gold Limited. Additionally, he is Company Secretary of Highfield Resources Limited, Duxton Water Limited and various other listed and unlisted public companies.

Jose Herrera Perea, GCertBs, BBsMnOrg
Chief Operating Officer
Jose Herrera Perea is a senior executive with over 15 years’ experience in digital marketplaces, ecommerce, strategy and operations across different industries and markets. He has held senior in iconic organisations such as Google, Seek and Fujitsu.
Prior to joining Gooroo, Mr Herrera Perea was the Executive General Manager of Open Universities Australia (OUA). In that time he managed OUA's emerging digital division, led the global launch of Open2Study; building an engaged community of 1 million users among 100+ countries within less than two years. Mr Herrera Perea had P&L responsibility for Higher Education, e3Learning, Open Training Institute and was the executive responsible for the end-to-end customer experience.
Mr Herrera Perea graduated from Monash University (Graduate Certificate of Business Management), Universidad Complutense de Madrid in Spain (Bachelor in Business Management and Organisation), Business Dublin School in Ireland (Diploma in Web Design), and The Australian Institute of Company Directors. He was accepted to the Stanford University Innovation and Entrepreneurship Certificate Program in 2014 and in 2016 completed the Asian International Executive Program at INSEAD. Jose also is MIPA Member of the Institute of Public Accountants (IPA).
As Chief Operating Officer, Mr Herrera Perea leads the day-to-day operations of the business in accordance with the strategic plan and operating and capital budgets. His role includes delivering best practice operating processes, systems and policies to enable scale.
Terence Siganakis, MSc (Bioinformatics), BCompSc
Chief Technology Officer
Terence Siganakis is a data scientist, software engineer and bioinformatician with over a decade of experience working on software solutions to big data related problems in industries as diverse as finance and investment banking, retail loyalty programs, public transport and community sector organisations.
Prior to joining Gooroo in October 2013, Mr Siganakis worked at the Peter MacCallum Cancer Institute, using his big data skills and the supercomputers of the VLSCI to analyse the DNA of cancer, work which was later published in the Journal of Pathology.
Mr Siganakis leads Gooroo’s technology team and is responsible for architecting and implementing Gooroo's analytics and machine learning platform. Mr Siganakis holds a Master of Science (Bioinformatics) and a Bachelor of Computer Science.
Scott McLaughlin, MBA
Vice President, Commercial
Scott McLaughlin is a Commercial Strategist and Business Developer with a unique expertise in customer intelligence, consumer behaviour and decision making. With 25 years in sales, marketing and business intelligence, Mr McLaughlin’s experience spans E-Commerce, Consumer Goods, Retail, Financial Services and B2B Services Industries.
Prior to joining Gooroo, Mr McLaughlin has worked as a Commercial Leader in the online aggregation and comparison market for the likes of iSelect and Grouply.co. Along with serving some of Australia's biggest brands in his own practice over a period of 9 years, he has held various senior roles with the likes of Roy Morgan Research, Kellogg, Campbells, and Mondelez.
Mr McLaughlin leads Gooroo’s commercial team and is responsible for customer adoption and engagement, commercial partnerships and the organisations overall performance and growth. Mr McLaughlin holds an MBA in Strategy & Planning.
Carl Joseph, GDipSc
Vice President, Product
Carl Joseph is a highly experienced product and programme manager, having managed large technology projects in the legal, government, and education sectors. Mr Joseph has an extensive background in solution design, business analysis, IT management and product management.
Mr Joseph was previously responsible for managing the largest fully integrated Microsoft Dynamics CRM implementation at the time within the Australian education sector. He was also invited to establish the Technology Without Borders group and served as their first President. He continues to advise and guide the organisation in his current role as Vice President.
As VP Product at Gooroo, Mr Joseph leads the product development and operations team and is responsible for the delivery of Gooroo’s strategy. Carl is working towards a Master of Science (Astronomy), and has previously completed the Senior Leadership Program at Melbourne/Mt Eliza Business School.
